Career high ranking of 495 and Aussie win !

Good news for the Broady camp from Australia this morning where Naomi beat the Aussie Shannon Golds 2-6,6-4,6-2. In windy conditions Naomi struggled in the 1st set but fought hard in the 2nd and served well in the last to take the victory. She now plays I-Hsuan Hwang from Taipei ranked WTA 305 . If Naomi comes through that match she could well have an interesting dual with Great Britains Mel South who she narrowly lost to at Surbiton in the summer. This news is combined with the release of the new rankings which see's Naomi climb inside the worlds top 500 for the 1st time to WTA 495!
